Cindy is a lifelong resident of Erie County. She is married, the mother of three grown children and the proud grandmother of two. It is her commitment to her family and her faith that drives her to work to create solutions to some of our pressing problems.
With Mary Fromknecht, SSJ, Cindy helped to start St. Patricks Haven, a night shelter for homeless men. In 2005, Cindy invited Kevin Bales, Ph.D., President of Free the Slaves to Erie to help educate our community about Human Trafficking. Together with Allegheny College, Edinboro University, Gannon University, Mercyhurst College, and Penn State Behrend, Dr. Bales spoke before hundreds of students and citizens at each campus.
Ten years as General Manager of the Lake Erie Ballet, Cindy helped to further the Arts in the community. An entrepreneurial spirit lead to the opening of Soup du Jour, a downtown Erie take out restaurant which she owned for five years. |
